The other love of my life...

Here is the backyard when we moved in this past January.


Here is my happiness. I would spend all day here planting and weeding if i had the time. I just love to be in the garden, a love my grandmother passed on to me, at a young age. I would help her work in the yard while other children played. Here is one of our favorites, mini snap dragons ("Johny jump ups" as we like to call them). I have been babying and weeding delicately around them all summer waiting for them to bloom, ever since i spread the seeds.

Here are my roses, Delphinia and a sunflower. The roses are upsetting me because the pinks were supposed to be white icebergs and the white is supposed to be a double pink. I can forgive Lowe's for the pinks but i bought the double from a rose nursery and am very disappointed. but there still beautiful. The sun flowers are actually from the bird feeder. My husband is dying to see it bloom. It is as tall as our baby cherry tree.

Here's Ayden next to a couple of our fruit trees, a Golden Delicious and our Nectarine. We are looking forward to seeing these after a few years.


We are looking forward to this garden ageing. We have put it all in our selves. My hubby was a great sport and layed all 200sq feet of edging for the garden. then we drug buckets of mulch in for the garden and sawed. Then we carried all 4 pallet loads of sawed to the back and layed them out. We will be sad to leave it when and if we ever move.



Here is a pic from our bed room window of a little patio me and my husband built. We scored on the flag stone, our neighbor was building a patio and we saw them throwing this away so we snagged it up. and together we built this little nook. We love it because its one of the first areas to shade during the day and its tucked away from the neighbors.
